Letter of Mourning

Tuğut village in Sivas’s Divriği district has a long and rich past. Villagers recite the  laments, songs and poems they composed for their departed loved ones. This is the story of Haydar, who began his journey in the world of poetry with lines scrabbled on his cigarette pack after losing his wife; and of Melek, who lived with her laments she sang after she lost her son in a traffic accident.
