Tamar, a 33-year-old artist, watches people in the streets of Tel Aviv and incorporates her impressions in daily illustrations, which give the viewer an ironic peek behind the facades of the Israeli daily routine. The life in an allegedly liberal society that stands “in the middle of the storm” and in which “everyone has an opinion about everything” is not so easy to take, that’s why she prefers to keep her distance from everyone. And yet she finds the strength to follow her inspiration even into the darkest stages of her life. The comics deal with bomb attacks, a failed marriage and antidepressants – but always combined with a fine humor.
