Marc Reeder from Manchester, fascinated by West Berlin, moved there at the end of the 70s. He filmed the urban jungle of the divided city. B-MOVIE is both a video diary and a retro collage of the unpredictable, chaotic, extremely vibrant, sleepless Berlin, this melting pot for sub and pop culture. The city that ceased to exist and that will never exist again. Blixa Bargeld, Nick Cave, Tilda Swinton; endless parties, clubs and fights; punk, avant-garde and techno; drugs and chaos before the Wall came crashing down. The sound, the image, the characters – everything is so authentic that one might think the West Berlin of the 80s is right here.
