The XXth Minsk International Film Festival "LISTAPAD" starts on November 1, 2013



"In kino veritas" — "Truth in the movie" — says the slogan of this year's festival. This slogan is like well-known Latin expression and promises us not only excellent festive mood. Cinema is a unique experience of seeking truth, answers to difficult questions and unsolvable contradictions in life.
Competition and out of competition programs of "Listapad" are carefully selected and are able to interest the most selective moviegoers. "Listapad-2013" is full of the best and sensational festival movies for the past last years, full of documentary which gained the international awards, promising director's debuts, the best movies for children and classics of world cinema, master classes and creative meetings.
Festival will be held in 6 Minsk’s Cinemas: Small Hall of the Palace of the Republic, "Centralny", "Pobeda", "Dom Kino", "Pioner", "Mir".
Films of three different categories will be presented at the festival: feature films (the main competition and "Youth on the March" competition), documentaries (the main competition and national film schools competition), the competition of films for children and youth "Listapadzik".
Movies from 35 countries from Canada to Australia took part in the program of “Listapad-2012”.
Jury of the festival consists of filmmakers well-known in CIS and Europe. Over the years, such directors as Andrei Zvyagintsev , Aktan Aryn Kubat , Sarunas Bartas, Pavel Chukhray, Dmitry Meskhiev, Svetlana Druzhinin and others headed the Jury.

Founders of the festival are The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the Minsk City Executive Committee with the participation of Belarusian television and radio company, the National Film Studio "BelarusFilm", the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers.
