THE PRESENTATION OF FILM FESTIVAL “KINOTAVR” AND A MASTER CLASS BY SITORA ALIYEVA
On November, 7 at 19.00 the “Pobeda” Cinema will host a presentation of the Open Russian Film Festival “Kinotavr” and a master class by Sitora Aliyeva, the program director of the “Kinotavr” and a jury member of the Main Feature Film Competition.
During the presentation the best short films of the “Kinotavr” film festival will be shown: “The Norm of Life” (directed by Evgeniy Byalo), “Insignificant Details of the Accidental Episode” (directed by Mihail Mestetskiy), “The Boss” (directed by Yuriy Bykov).
The ORFF “Kinotavr” is the largest Russian open film festival, held in Sochi since 1991. The aim of the festival is to present the newest films, to support the creative aspirations of the experienced and the young cinematographers, to raise the authority of the cinematography and its importance in the life of the society and, as a result, to have a tangible influence on the filmmaking process.
Sitora Aliyeva is the program director of the Open Russian Film Festival “Kinotavr”. She is the official selector of Russian films for the IFF in Warsaw (Poland) and Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic). In 1994-1996 she was the referent of D.Dondurey, the chief editor of “The Art of Cinema” magazine.
