"Me. Education" is the first of "Bergman Weekends" will take place 6-7 October at the cinema "Pioneer"
On 21 September, the project "Bergman Weekends" was launched within the framework of "Listapad. Collections". 20 masterpieces of Ingmar Bergman, the classic of Swedish cinema, will be shown for seven weeks on the site of the cinema "Pioneer". he marathon of films with discussion will begin with two films combined into the program "Me. Education". The films will be presented by the film critic and program director of the Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad" Igor Sukmanov.

The program includes Ingmar Bergman's early films - the first work of the young director "Crisis" (1946) and an ode to the city of Gothenburg "Port of Call"(1948).
Saturday, 6 October is the day when viewers can watch and discuss the existential melodrama “Crisis”. The film tells the story of eighteen-year-old Nelly, who lives in a quiet provincial town with her foster mother Ingeborg. Surrounded by love, she nevertheless wants to break out of the too measured reality. When the real mother of Nelly, the owner of a fashionable salon, offers the girl to start a new bright life in Stockholm and she agrees without hesitation. Nelly goes to the capital and discovers the dark sides of human nature...

The first "Bergman Weekends" will end on Sunday, 7 October, with the optimistic drama "Port of Call". Sailor Gösta goes ashore in his native Gothenburg to start a new life. Here he meets Berit, a capricious girl who barely left the correctional institution. Berit lives with a despotic mother who torments her daughter with her prudish care. The desperate heroine is looking for salvation in his lover. To this end, she believes Gösta the secrets of her past.
