"We don't get aliens in Sheffield". In a South Yorkshire city, Ryan Sinclair, Yasmin Khan and Graham O'Brien are about to have their lives changed forever, as a mysterious woman, unable to remember her own name, falls from the night sky. Can they believe a word she says? And can she help solve the strange events taking place across the city?

Series 11 is the first season in "Doctor Who" history in which the Doctor is performed by a woman. Peter Capaldi will be replaced by an English actress Jodie Whittaker ("Black Mirror"). Her first appearance as the Doctor was in the 2017 Christmas special, "Twice Upon a Time". "It’s more than an honor to play the Doctor. It means remembering everyone I used to be, while stepping forward to embrace everything the Doctor stands for: hope", says Jodie Whittaker in one of her interviews on the new role.

"I always knew I wanted the Thirteenth Doctor to be a woman and we're thrilled to have secured our number one choice. Her audition for the Doctor simply blew us all away. Jodie is an in-demand, funny, inspiring, super-smart force of nature and will bring loads of wit, strength and warmth to the role", says Chris Chibnall, New Head Writer and Executive Producer. This season will also be a debut for him, as for the previous 8 years the "boss" of the "Doctor Who" universe was Steven Moffat, a winner of several BAFTA and Emmy Awards.

In new series, unlike the previous time travels, the Doctor will have three companions instead of one – Bradley Walsh (Graham), Tosin Cole (Ryan) and Mandip Gill (Yasmin). Chris Chibnall called then one of the best actors in Britain.

In 1989 the TV-show was ceased, and in 2005 is returned to the screens, being by now the most long-running science-fiction TV-series in the world. It is the adventurous story of the mysterious humanoid extraterrestrial being calling himself the Doctor, who’s aimlessly travelling through time and space in a space ship called the TARDIS looking like a police box from the 1950’s. Doctor is incredibly eccentric and knows enormous amount of things in the spheres of technology, history and science. He travels with his companions, fighting on his way with lots of space villains and saving the Earth from endless rows of enemies.
