Russian film critics acknowledged Crystal Swan to be the Best debut of 2018
On January 11 in Moscow the awarding ceremony of "The White Elephant" award of The Russian Guild of Film Critics took place. Darya Zhuk’s Belarusian film Crystal Swan created in co-production with Russia won in the nomination of The Best Debut 2018

"The White Elephant" award isn’t the first one for the Crystal Swan. The film has already recieved prizes on Odessa, Tbilisi, Bratislava, Cork (Ireland), Vyborg, Rostov-on-Don and Vladivostok. Drama with elements of comedy has also taken part in dozens of international cinema forums in different parts of the world. The first night of Darya Zhuk’s film took place on the A-class festival in Karlovy Vary. Besides that, Crystal Swan has become the first Belarusian film for 22 years that was put forward for Oscar.
"The White Elephant" award of The Russian Guild of Film Critics, which consists of more than 200 cinema experts, critics and journalists, was established in 1998. This year among other nominees in the category The Best Debut were Alexander Gorchilin’s Acid and Vladimir Bitokov’s Deep Rivers.
Crystal Swan still can be seen on a big screen in Minsk: in Dom Kino it is distributed to January 16, and in Silver Screen in Galileo shopping center from 21 to 23 of January.
