12 years ago Yurko moved from USA to the small village Kryachkovka in Poltava region to revive the kobza tradition in Ukraine: he not only plays but also makes instruments with his students. Together with his wife and children he creates his own world and lives for the favorite cause, which is playing kobza.
Born in the village of Moskalenki in Central Ukraine. Graduated from the directing department at Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University (workshop of Yuriy Tereshchenko). She is a contributing author to documentary almanac THE BLACK BOOK OF MAIDAN on the protests in Kiev in 2013-2014.
