Two burglars, Sergej and Polde, steal a valuable painting called Landscape No.2. Quite by accident, Sergej also steals a mysterious document from the end of the Second World War. Instructor takes over the case of the missing painting and document, and a diabolical mechanism from the past is unleashed. Landscape No.2 builds on the realisation that the unresolved past of a person or nation leaves its mark and keeps coming back.
Born in 1958 in Celje. He is one of the top and most prolific Slovenian artists. Graduated in theatre direction from the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and television with the performance Snubač (The Proposal) by Anton Chekhov in 1982. In the last twenty years he directed more than 70 theatre and opera performances, several radio plays and 12 TV plays and documentaries based on his own scripts. He writes dramas, poems, novellas, novels, screenplays, essays and radio plays. He has published thirty books. His full-length feature debut was film SUBURBS (2004). Other works include the sensational INFERNO (2014) and LANDSCAPE NO. 2 (2008).
