In the mid-seventies, a strange man arrives in a quiet provincial city. In a restaurant, without any apparent reason, he starts insulting Claudio, a renowned lawyer. The community supports the lawyer and the stranger is humiliated and thrown out of the place. Later that night the stranger, who is determined to wreak a terrible vengeance, intercepts Claudio and his wife Susana. The lawyer then takes a path of no return involving death, secrets and silences.
Born in 1986 in Buenos Aires, Benjamin Naishtat started studying cinema at Buenos Aires University and pursued his studies at le Fresnoy – National Contemporary Art Studio, in France. His work includes fictions: The Game (short-film, 2010) selected at Cannes Cinefondation - as well as experimental works: History of Evil (2011), screened in Rotterdam and in several international exhibitions. His first feature film, HISTORY OF FEAR was in Competition in Berlin in 2014.
