Marysia Nikitiuk

Director, scriptwriter. Born in Ivanovo (Russia) her family soon moved to Kiev. Graduated from Kiev’s Taras Shevchenko National University, then from Kiev’s Karpenko-Kary University of Theatre, Film and TV. Wrote and directed a number of short films that were screened in festivals like Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand, Cairo IFF, Golden Apricot. In 2016, her first feature film screenplay WHEN THE TREES FALL was selected for ScripTeast and won Kieslowski Award in a ceremony held during the 2016 Cannes IFF.
